Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (Cosmetic Acupuncture)
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a a safe and natural way to help lessen facial lines, improve circulation and tautness of facial muscles, resulting in a natural looking cosmetic improvement to the face. A pleasant side affect of treatment is a feeling of relaxation and well being, resulting in mind and body balance as well as an improved physical appearance.
As well as conventional acupuncture points being used, special micro-dermal needles are used on fine lines and wrinkles. Alongside this a special Medik8 serum is applied to theses areas which helps to rehydrate the skin and lessen the appearance of these wrinkles. Once the needles have been removed a facial massage is carried out with a jade roller, this again helps to improve the circulation to the skin.
For best results a course of treatment is recommended, usually once or twice a week for 6 sessions. However, up to 10 sessions can be applied for optimum improvement. Even after one session people often notice a change and improvement. If required on-going 'maintenance' sessions can be applied to keep up the younger/healthier appearance.
At the first appointment an initial consultation will be undertaken to screen for any contra-indications to treatment (a course of acupuncture can sometimes boost the individual's health, enabling them to undertake facial acupuncture at a later date).
